Joseph C. Hoelzel, age 82, from Port Republic Virginia, died on Tuesday morning May 30, 2017 at ManorCare in Platteville. Joe had recently moved to the area to be closer to his children. He was born on May 23, 1935 in Beloit, WI the son of Albert and Lydia (Langer) Hoelzel. Joe served in the US Army from 1951 – 1954.
