Jerry Kirschbaum

Jerry Kirschbaum, age 83, of Fennimore, died on Friday evening April 28, 2017, at his residence in Fennimore. Jerry was born on May 26, 1933 in Cassville, WI the son of Arch and Odelia (Brinkman) Kirschbaum. He married Joyce Colson on Feb. 10, 1955 in Fennimore.

After graduating from Montfort High School, Jerry farmed with his parents in the Preston area. He then worked for Dell Needham before going to work at Fennimore Roller Mills. In addition to working at the roller mill, Jerry worked nights loading trucks at Koschkee Transfer for many years. He retired in 1988 due to his health. Jerry spent much of his time at home in later years, but always looked forward to visits from his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed watching old westerns on television and would never turn down a bowl of ice cream. His hard work and determination will forever be cherished.

Jerry is survived by his dedicated wife of 62 years, Joyce, three children; Jerry (Susan) Kirschbaum of Darlington, Lorie (Don) Kreyer of Fennimore and Cindy (John) Dalberg of Richland Center, eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert, Julius and Louis Kirschbaum, and sisters Ruth Streeter and Myra Reinsback.

In following Jerry’s wishes, a private family funeral will be held at a later date. The Larson family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
