Lancaster – Glennie Marie Rewey, age 96, of Lancaster, formerly of Fennimore, died on Monday Feb. 20, 2017, while a resident of Orchard Manor, Lancaster. Glennie was born August 12, 1920, the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Culver) Klinger. She married the love of her life George Clark Rewey June 30, 1951 in Dubuque, IA. Glennie will be remembered by her smile, chocolate chip cookies, banana bread and a friendly wave from her kitchen window. One would never know what she’d say with her quirky remarks. Fennimore, WI-Vern D. Lewison, age 82, died on Saturday morning Feb. 18, 2017 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. Vern was born on Nov. 22, 1934 the son of Orvie & Mamie (Ames) Lewison. He married Gretchen Simmons in 1958 until 1978, and then was united in marriage to Sue Mittelstadt in 1982. Vern graduated from Viola High School the class of 1952. After a brief two years in the US Army, Vern farmed in the Viola area from 1960 to 1969. Mildred G. Vine, age 99, of Mt. Horeb and formerly of Mt. Hope and Fennimore, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Ingleside Manor in Mt. Horeb. Mildred was born on Sept. 6, 1917 in Barneveld, WI the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth (Phiel) Binius. She married Charles Vine on May 20, 1936 in Montfort, WI. Mildred and Charles farmed in the Mt. Hope area until his untimely death in 1974. Mildred then moved to Fennimore until moving to Mt. Horeb to be closer to family in 2009. Rollande J. Krandall passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early hours of the morning of February 5, 2017 from a pulmonary embolism.  She had been away from home, helping her father in Minnesota.  She was 52 years old. Ruth was born on Oct. 3, 1928, in Montfort, WI the daughter of Wesley and Anna (Frolik) Washburn. She married Vilas Noyes on June 12, 1948 at the Montfort United Methodist Church. Ruth graduated as valedictorian from Livingston High School in 1946. She then attended Business College in Madison and worked as a bookkeeper at Bancroft Dairy. She was born there 78 years earlier on June 7, 1938, the daughter of Delbert and Caroline (Riley) Russell.
