Mildred G. Vine, age 99, of Mt. Horeb and formerly of Mt. Hope and Fennimore, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Ingleside Manor in Mt. Horeb. Mildred was born on Sept. 6, 1917 in Barneveld, WI the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth (Phiel) Binius. She married Charles Vine on May 20, 1936 in Montfort, WI.
Mildred and Charles farmed in the Mt. Hope area until his untimely death in 1974. Mildred then moved to Fennimore until moving to Mt. Horeb to be closer to family in 2009. Mildred enjoyed raising chickens on the farm, knitting, and crocheting.
Mildred is survived by her three daughters; Judith (Charles) VanValkenburg of Blue Mounds, WI, Joanne (Richard) Plimpton of Bloomington, IL and Marilyn (Duane) McCullick of Richmond, KY, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Charles, two sisters, Augusta Baily and Ruth Witzig, and three brothers, Herman, Walter and Joseph Binius.
A private graveside service will be held at the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore.
