Charlotte "Char" E. Andrews

Charlotte “Char” E. Andrews, age 80, died peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday evening, April 9, 2017 at her residence in Fennimore. Charlotte was born on Aug. 8, 1936 in Boscobel, the daughter of John “Jack” and Martha (Neely) Welsh. She was united in marriage to Robert Andrews on June 26, 1955 in Boscobel.

Charlotte graduated from Boscobel High School. Following high school, Char was employed at the Fennimore Lanes and a long time waitress at the Cottonwood Supper Club. She adored her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Char loved playing golf, traveling to Las Vegas, going to Neil Diamond concerts, and was an avid bowler. Char’s hard working and dedication to family, friends and employers was second to none. Her very caring and lovable personality along with a whole lot of sassiness will be remembered and cherished forever.

Charlotte is survived by her nine children; Mark (Charlene) Andrews of McFarland, Kim (Dick) McCullick of Prairie du Chien, Julie (Jim) Baumgartner of Fennimore, Dawn (Gene) Ehlinger of Prairie du Chien, Darcy (Tim) Slack of Fennimore, Robin (Dave) Hammes of Beloit, Scott (Melinda) Andrews of Fennimore, Jeff (Renee Marozi) Andrews of Fennimore, Dana (Scott) Engel of Fredonia, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, brothers; John Welsh of Madison, Harley (Nancy) Welsh of Fond du Lac, sister Joan (Charles) O’Rourke of Dodgeville along with several special nieces, and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert on Aug. 23, 2014, and her brother Curt Welsh.

Funerals services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday April 13, 2017 at Fennimore United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday afternoon April 12, 2017 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Thursday. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
