Mildred graduated from Cobb High School in 1945. She married Wayne Anderson on August 21, 1948. Mildred stayed at home to raise her children until moving back to Cobb in 1963 where she worked at the Cobb State Bank. Shirley “LaVon” Hahn, age 92, of Fennimore, died on Tuesday morning Dec. 15, 2015 at Morningside Assisted Living in Lancaster. LaVon was born on June 6, 1923 in Grant County, WI the daughter of George and Gladys (Hickin) Foreyt. She married Cletus Hahn on Oct. 7, 1944 in Milwaukee. After the war she and Cletus moved back to Fennimore where she lived in her own home until August 2015. Dodgeville – Joseph Walter “Joe” Washa, age 57, of Dodgeville and formerly of Montfort, died on Monday evening Nov. 30, 2015 at his residence in Dodgeville. Joe was born on March 21, 1958 in Boscobel, WI the son of Harold and Dorothy (Daggett) Washa. He married Deb Klar on Sept. 25, 1999 in Montfort. She was united in marriage to Harry Edge on September 21, 1947. Avis and Harry enjoyed playing cards and dancing with their friends. Carrie was born in Round Lake, IL, the youngest daughter of August “Jack” Corcilius and Nancy (Oehme) Corcilius and spent many years in Arizona where she worked as a nursing assistant and gave birth to her daughters before returning to the Midwest to be nearer to family.
