She was born on June 18, 1936, in the Cobb area, the daughter of Ed and Mary Laufenberg. She was united in marriage to Cletus Karasek on Sept. 10, 1955. They worked very hard and made their living farming together on 50 acres just outside of Fennimore and together raised three children. Margaret was born on Jan. 14, 1931, in Montfort, the daughter of Christopher and Lottie (Ferris) Frankland. She married James Lynch on Feb. 5, 1949 in Mineral Point.
