She was born on June 18, 1936, in the Cobb area, the daughter of Ed and Mary Laufenberg. She was united in marriage to Cletus Karasek on Sept. 10, 1955. They worked very hard and made their living farming together on 50 acres just outside of Fennimore and together raised three children. Margaret E. “Peg” Lynch, age 85, of Montfort, died on Friday, July 15, 2016, at her residence in Montfort surrounded by her family.  Margaret was born on Jan. 14, 1931, in Montfort, the daughter of Christopher and Lottie (Ferris) Frankland.  She married James Lynch on Feb. 5, 1949 in Mineral Point. Douglas was born on June 17, 1934, in Mifflin Township, the son of Orval and Laura (Holmes) Jenks. He was raised on the family farm south of Cobb.
