Charles S. "Chuck" Weist Jr.

Chuck WeistFennimore, WI - Charles S. “Chuck” Weist Jr., age 45, died on Tuesday afternoon July 12, 2016, in the town of Sterling in Vernon Co., WI as a result of an automobile accident. Chuck was born on May 7, 1971, in Lancaster, WI, the son of Charles Sr. and Barbara (Watchorn) Weist.

Chuck attended Fennimore High School and was in the class of 1989. He went to work for Croft’s Lime and Gravel and Mathy Construction as a heavy equipment operator until 2005. Chuck then worked for Pattison Sand in Clayton, IA until being employed for the past three years at Town & Country Sanitation in Boscobel. Chuck also enjoyed working during planting season at Reddy Ag in Stitzer. He learned to put his family first and became an awesome Dad who had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He loved watching his children participate in activities and sports. Chuck also enjoyed cheering on the Packer’s, watching NASCAR, especially Earnhardt Sr. & Jr., and attending truck pulls and demolition derby’s with family and friends. Chuck was a dependable person who would do anything for anyone. True to his word and generosity, Chuck kept giving until the end by being an organ & tissue donor. Chuck was an active member of the Fennimore Fire Dept. for over 20 years and his dedication to his family and dept. will truly be missed.

Chuck is survived by his beloved parents of Fennimore, two children; Torie Richardson of Boscobel, Hayley Weist of Fennimore, soul mate; Angie Ruchti of Fennimore, three sisters; Vicki (Bryan) Pitzen, Karen (David) Mahr, Brenda (Tommy) Taylor all of Fennimore, brother Todd (Dawn) Weist of Morris, IL, maternal grandmother; Ruby Watchorn of Muscoda, along with other loved children in Chuck’s life; Taylor Richardson of Boscobel, Emma Merz of Fennimore, Aiden and Anika Kreul of Fennimore. He is also survived by many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Chuck was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Oscar and Marie Weist, and maternal grandfather Henry Watchorn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday July 18, 2016 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday July 17, 2016 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Monday morning.
