FENNIMORE – Janet Ann “Janann” Barnes, age 85, passed away on Friday evening July 11, 2025, at the Soldiers Grove Health Services. She was born on January 13, 1940, the daughter of Gerald and Helen (Hayes) George. She grew up on a farm in rural Gays Mills where she graduated from Gays Mills High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Barnes on January 27, 1959. Kenneth was a United Methodist Minister, and together they lived throughout Wisconsin with Janet serving as a beloved Pastor’s wife. HIGHLAND – Marilyn Jane Richter, age 78, passed away on Sunday July 13, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore. Marilyn was born on April 24, 1947, the daughter of Henry and Ruby (Peat) Watchorn. Marilyn graduated from Highland Senior High and shortly after, started her journey as a stay-at-home mom. After raising her children in the Highland and Avoca areas, Marilyn began working as a personal caretaker in area group homes. She enjoyed travelling with her daughter, Kathy. FENNIMORE – Charles Joseph “Chuck” Leuck passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, surrounded by loving family at his home in Fennimore, Wisconsin.  Chuck was born on May 8, 1937 to Alphonse and Eleanor (Hauser) Leuck in Cashton, Wisconsin.  He grew up on the family farm outside of Cashton with his parents, brother and two sisters, where he developed his tremendous work ethic, sense of fairness and strong faith. FENNIMORE – Jeffrey “Jeff” Paul Cornell, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 30, 2025. Born on October 12, 1959, to Norman “Spud” and Marcella (Turner) Cornell, Jeff grew up in Cassville and graduated from Cassville High School. He earned a welding degree from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore. After working as a farm hand, Jeff began a 45-year career with Rayovac. MONTFORT – David “Dave” J. Fuerstenberg, age 78, passed away on Saturday July 5, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore. He was born on January 25, 1947, the son of Joseph and Wilma (Reuter) Fuerstenberg. Dave graduated from Fennimore High School in 1966 and on April 22, 1967, he married the love of his life, Patricia “Patty” Holzer.
