DODGEVILLE – Helen L. Lee, age 89, passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 29, 1936, to Richard and Melva (Whitish) Peat. On June 16, 1956, Helen married the love of her life, Walter Lee at the First Methodist Church Parsonage in Platteville. They spent many wonderful years together before he passed away in 1996. MONTOFRT – William “Bill” F. Esser, age 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 27, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Dodgeville the son of Robert “Bob” and Elizabeth “Elsie” Esser. Bill was united in marriage to Nancy Nechvatal on September 20, 1970, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort. Bill graduated from Iowa-Grant High School and then received his auto mechanic degree from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore. He began working for the Iowa-Grant School District as their bus mechanic until joining his father’s Texaco business

MONTFORT – Gregory Todd Kalish, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 20, 2025, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. He was born on January 25, 1950, in Madison, the son of Virgil and Jeanne (David) Kalish. Greg graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1968 and from the Madison Area Technical College in 1970 with a woodworking degree. After college, Greg worked for Cobb Lumber Company and Kraemer Brothers and then created his own woodworking business (Kalish Customs). FENNIMORE – Patricia Lynn Breuer, age 73, passed away on Tuesday July 22, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore, with her daughters Kristi and Nicky by her side. She was born on March 1, 1952, in Kenosha the daughter of Luis and Mary (Bedore) Francart. Pat graduated from Tremper High School of Kenosha in 1970. She entered the work force doing various jobs until deciding to relocate to Fennimore in 1986. Pat met and was united in marriage to her best friend Dave “Cooter” Breuer on August 25, 1988.
