Calvin (Cal) James, age 92, of Livingston, WI passed away on Monday morning June 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Cal James was born on April 27, 1927 in Eden Township the son of Glenn and Lydia (Trankle) James. Cal grew up on a farm outside of Montfort. Elizabeth K. “Elsie” Esser, age 95, of Montfort, WI, passed away on Sunday June 23, 2019 at the Bloomfield Healthcare rural Dodgeville, WI. She was born on March 3, 1924 in Highland, WI, the daughter of Henry and Theresa (Kroll) Wienkers. Elsie was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Esser on June 30, 1942 in Highland, WI. Elsie and Bob farmed in the Highland and Linden area before moving to Montfort and running the Texaco. Elsie later worked at the Montfort Veterinary service until her retirement. Lyle Leonard Wetter, age 91, of Fennimore passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday June 23rd.  Lyle was born on December 29th, 1927 in Boscobel WI, the son of Albert and Nellie (Rice) Wetter.  After graduating from Boscobel High School, Lyle met his wife Shirley at the Harmony Inn in Fennimore. Eighteen months later, Shirley (Smith) and Lyle were wed on June 8thin The Fennimore United Methodist Church.  For 12 years Lyle and Shirley lived and farmed on Lyle’s family farm south of Boscobel.  After leaving the family farm, Lyle moved to the Montfort area and continued to farm.

Ruby M. Watchorn, age 95, of Muscoda formerly of Highland passed away on Sunday June 23, 2019 at Dycora Transitional Health in Muscoda. She was born on May 23, 1924 in Clifton Township Grant County, WI, the daughter of Richard and Melva (Whitish) Peat. Ruby was united in marriage to Henry Watchorn on December 1, 1939 in Dubuque, IA. Ruby and Henry worked many years farming for George Fillback. Ruby was a very hard worker and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She took great pride in an honest days work and taking care of her family. Later
