Betty J. Cathman, age 90 of Fennimore, died on Friday morning April 13, 2018 at Orchard Manor in Lancaster. She was born on Dec. 5, 1927, in Bagley, WI, the daughter of Charles and Anna Mae (Hoffman) Moore. Betty was united in marriage to Burdette Cathman on June 19, 1951 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Fae Arlene Dempsey, age 83, of Fennimore, died on Saturday evening April 7, 2018 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington. Arlene was born on Nov. 24, 1934 in Fennimore, WI the daughter of Julius and Hilda (Christopherson) Baumgartner. She married Gerald “Jerry” Dempsey on June 16, 1954 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Arlene was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an excellent caregiver not only to her family, but for the entire community. Dolores Griswold, age 93, of Livingston, Wisconsin, passed away on March 31, 2018 at All Saints Assisted Living in Madison, Wisconsin. The daughter of William and Ruby Beerkircher, Dolores was born on October 8, 1924 in Linden, Wisconsin. She married Theodore “Ted” Griswold in 1941. A true lady, Dolores leaves a legacy of service, kindness and generosity of spirit. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was active in her local church and community. Carl John Winkers, age 77, of Fennimore, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018, at his residence in rural Fennimore surrounded by his loving family after a courageous three year battle with pancreatic cancer. Carl was born on Sept. 27, 1940 in Montfort, WI the son of John and Beatrice (Bowers) Winkers. He married Bess Jeidy on Jan. 16, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington.
