Sharon Seeley

Longtime local resident Sharon Stenner Seeley, 81, quietly passed away at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore, WI, during the early morning of August 5, 2022.

Sharon was born to Harry and Marian (Gundlach) Stenner in Marion Township on January 25, 1941.  Sharon attended the local Brechler School through 8th grade and graduated from Boscobel High School in 1959.   While at BHS, Sharon Stenner met classmate Charles Seeley.  They were married in 1960 and began their life together on a small farm in Boscobel’s Marietta Valley.

In 1971 Sharon and Chuck took over the Stenner Dairy Farm in Marion Township.  Sharon was most proud of her homemaking abilities and her fabulous gardens with flowers, fruits, and vegetables.  Sharon was the oldest of six sisters and hosted the Stenner Family Christmas Dinner for over four decades.  With immediate family, in-laws, children and grandchildren, Sharon and Chuck filled Christmas Day with food and outdoor activities.

Fiercely independent and loving the outdoors, Sharon was able to live her life as she wanted and to maintain her own residence until moving into Divine in December 2020.  The family is very thankful to Divine for its care and service.

Sharon will be sadly missed by her family and friends.  Sharon is survived by her youngest son and daughter-in-law Tom and Sara Seeley (Boscobel, WI) and her middle son and daughter-in-law Tim and Melissa Seeley (Minneapolis, MN).  Sharon’s third and oldest son Todd Seeley is deceased.  Grandchildren include Jonathan Seeley of Minneapolis, MN and his brother-in-law and sister Justin and Jennifer McGee of Memphis, TN; Kyle, Katlyn and Kennedy Seeley of Boscobel, WI; and Madison Seeley of Los Angeles, CA and Gracia Seeley of Durango, CO.

Sharon is also survived by her five sisters and their families:  Charlotte and Ed Ulve, Dubuque, IA; Delores and Jerry Boury, Barron, WI; Darlene and Charles Evans, Germantown, WI; Rita and Tino Novinska, Fennimore, WI; and Debra Stenner and Keith Mintz, Ferrisburgh, VT.  Also close to Sharon were brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Barb Seeley, Boscobel, WI.  Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her son Todd, her parents Harry and Marian and her brothers-in-law Jim Seeley, Edward Ulve and Charles Evans.

The many nieces and nephews of Sharon and Chuck will always remember their halcyon days on the family farm. They were magical.
