Timothy “Tim” David Klaas, age 52, of Fennimore, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer. He was born on April 6th, 1970, to Larry and Sherry (Place) Klaas.
Tim’s family was his pride and joy, starting with his beloved wife Trisha of 25 years. He supported his children in every endeavor they embarked on and was their biggest fan. Tim lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures including chatting with friends and family, Sunday church service, Can-Am rides, family gatherings, spending time on the farm, and being around the people he loved. Tim would do anything for anyone and struggled to say no to helping others. He loved to travel and was blessed to take various trips with his family. He especially enjoyed the hunting trips out west, and he looked forward to the annual friend’s trip.
Tim was employed with Your Town Transport for 20 years, hauling batteries for Ray-O-Vac, in addition to working with Premier Co-Op, selling real estate, and doing custom crop work. He was a supervisor for the Mt. Ida township board, Vice-president of Family in Faith Church, and previously involved with Fennimore Wrestling Association.
Tim is survived by his wife Trisha, children Chelsy (Tylor) Cornell, Tyler (Maya Trautsch) Klaas, Logan Klaas, parents Larry & Sherry Klaas, in-laws Ken (Carol) Stagman, mother-in-law Colleen Nelson. Siblings; Todd Klaas, Travis (Barb) Klaas, Tara (Tim) Koehn and brother-in-law Spencer (Darcy) Stagman, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
