Hazel B. Klais, age 88, of Stitzer, died on Thursday morning April 28, 2016 at her residence in Stitzer. Hazel was born on April 20, 1928 in Cassville, WI the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Cornell) Martin. She married Leslie “Chick” Klais on June 26, 1948 in rural Cuba City.
Hazel was a very private person whose greatest joys came in spending time with her family. She retired from Rayovac in Fennimore after 25 years of dedicated service.
Hazel is survived by her husband of 67 years, Chick Klais of Stitzer, two children, Michael Klais of Las Vegas and Nikki (Bill) Whitaker of Stitzer, two grandchildren, Chad Klais and Sydney Whitaker, two great-grandchildren, Colton and Dillon Klais, and two sisters, Molly Kieffer of Boscobel, and Letha Eck of Lancaster.
In respect of Hazel’s wishes, a private committal service will be held at a later date.
