Michelle Marie Gabel, age 48, of Wauzeka, WI, passed away on Friday April 29, 2016 at her residence in Wauzeka due to health issues. Michelle was born on Dec. 31, 1967 at the Boscobel Hospital the daughter of Leroy and Joyce (Rice) Gabel.
Michelle attended Fennimore Community Schools and graduated from Fennimore High School in 1986. She attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, receiving a diploma for Data Entry Operation in May of 1989. Michelle worked at Lands End in Dodgeville for approximately 25 years.
Michelle is survived by her daughter Amber Friederick of Fennimore, mother Joyce Rice of Wauzeka, three brothers; Donald Gabel of Eastman, Daniel (Randa) Gabel of New Glarus and Tim (Kari) Gabel of Woodinville, WA, sister Patti Federman of Phoenix, AZ, and special friend Terry Geisler of Wauzeka.
Michelle was preceded in death by her father Leroy Gabel of Fennimore and half brother Troy Halverson of Dodgeville.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday evening May 6, 2016 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster.
