Kristine A. Harris

Kristine A. Harris, age 71, of Boscobel, WI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday February 3, 2022, U.W. Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 2, 1951, in Boscobel the daughter of Lewis and Faye (Ward) Roth. Kristine was united in marriage to Arlie Harris on December 18, 1971, in Mt. Zion.

Kristine grew up in Mt. Zion and graduated from Boscobel High School in 1969. She continued her education and moved to Madison and received her barber-cosmetology degree. Kristine returned home, and married Arlie. She owned and operated Montgomery Ward until the franchise closed and later managed Mr. G’s in Boscobel until 1998. She was later employed as a teller for the People’s State Bank in Boscobel until retiring from the Anchor Bank in Boscobel in 2013.

Kristine loved being in the comfort of her home. She adored her grandchildren and caring for her dogs. She enjoyed doing crafts and was a very good artist, working in her flower beds, and feeding birds along with shopping, and getting her hair and nails done. Kristine’s caring ways and her spitfire sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Kristine is survived by her husband of 50 years Arlie of Boscobel, two children; Derek Harris (Peggy Dollar) of Boscobel, and Darcie Harris (Fiancé Jeremy Rice) of Gotham, four grandchildren; Kaitlynn Bredeson (Fiancé Tyson Dickman), Christopher Harris (Shayla Clark), Derek Harris Jr., and Kristina (Zach) Mohr, and her great granddaughter Bailey Mohr, brother Al (Nancy) Roth of Boscobel, sister-in-law Jean Roth of Boscobel, along with in-laws; Lori (Bill) Busch of Fennimore, Dennis (Mary) Harris of Lodi, and Angela Harris of Atlanta, GA.

Kristine was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sisters-in-law; Byron (Becky) Roth, Marvin (Helen) Roth, and Gale Roth, and her father and mother-in-law Arland “Bud” and Joyce Harris.

There will be no formal memorial service held at this time. A Private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Union Hill Cemetery in Mt. Zion. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family and cards of sympathy may be sent here at 925 10th St. Fennimore, WI 53809.
