Ronald D. Frye, age 80, of Mt. Hope, passed away on Wednesday morning May 20, 2020 at the Divine Rehabilitation & Nursing after many years of declining health. He was born on September 9, 1939 in Richland Center the son of Earl and Maxine (Larson) Frye.
Ron was a dedicated employee for Equifax for numerous years. He loved to watch the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed fishing and camping. He also liked vacationing out west, and was a huge fan of Willie Nelson. Throughout Ron’s life, he truly enjoyed being around people. Ron served in the U.S. Army during the Korean era and was a member of the Grey-Wachter-Murphy American Legion Post #229. The family would like to thank the Divine Rehabilitation & Nursing staff for the excellent care given to Ron.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Karen of Mt. Hope, three children; Joni (Mark) Taylor of Lakehills, TX, Gary (Tina) Frye of Fennimore, Ronald Jr. (Rebecca) Frye of Middleton, three step children, 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters; Pat Shelby of Sauk City, and Pam Niederhauser of Glendora, CA.
Ron was prededed in death by his parents, brother Gary Frye, and brother-in-law John Shelby.
In keeping with the executive order prohibiting gatherings, there will be no memorial service held at this time. After restrictions are lifted from the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will plan a public celebration of Ron’s life to be announced at a later date. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family and memorials may be mail here at 925 10th St. Fennimore, WI.
