Marna L. Fuchs, age 78, of Fennimore passed away on Monday evening June 1, 2020 at the Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. She was born on September 8, 1941 in Milwaukee the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Cork) Breitenbach.
Marna grew up in the Milwaukee area where she raised her family. She loved being able to be home with her boys and taking care of them through their younger years. In 2001, Marna wanted to be closer to family, moved to Southwest Wisconsin. She resided in Highland, Dodgeville, and eventually Preston. Marna taught herself how to paint pictures and her work was chosen and displayed at an art show held at the capital. She also enjoyed watching home and garden shows, decorating her home, and learning about antiques. She was also an avid reader and liked true crime stories along with romance novels. Marna enjoyed listening to classic country music, spending time with her pets, and loved spending the day with her family, especially her grandchildren, at Governor Dodge and other State Parks throughout our area.
Marna is survived by her two children; Jack Chase of Los Angeles, CA, and Randy (Kim) Chase of Fennimore, three grandchildren; Amber Vandever, Rachel (Louie) Silvers, Brandon (fiancé Heather Richter) Chase, five great grandchildren; Kaytlin, Noah, Travis and Camdon Silvers and Braxton Chase, her sister Sue Barchus of Greenfield, many nieces and nephews, and dear friend and companion Donald Whitish of Fennimore.
Marna was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren; twins Danielle and Joshua Chase and Andrew Chase, two brothers; John and his twin James Breitenbach, sister Judith Kornfehl, and her brother-in-law Ron Barchus.
There will be no formal memorial services held at this time and burial will take place at a later date at the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore. The Larson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family and memorials may be sent here at 925 10th St. Fennimore, WI 53809.
