Richard W. "Dick" Roghers

Richard W. “Dick” Roghers, age 75, of Fennimore, died on Monday morning April 23, 2018, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. Richard was born on Oct. 12, 1942, at home in Crawford County, WI, the son of Hilbert and Irene (Miller) Roghers. He married Dolores Edge on August 22, 1987 in Fennimore.

After graduating from Boscobel High School, Dick farmed on the home farm until 1972. He then farmed in Hickory Grove Township before purchasing his current property, “Rocky Top Acres” in 1983. In addition to farming, Dick worked for Rossing Construction for 13 years. He later started his own business, Roghers Construction, in 1998. Dick was a very hardworking and handyman who believed in doing it once and doing it right. He enjoyed hunting and fishing trips to Canada and was an avid gun collector, especially Henry’s. Dick and Dolores truly went through life together and enjoyed each other’s company in everything they did, from bowling together to going for rides in their Mustang, they were always there for each other.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife Dolores of Fennimore; three children and four grandchildren; Tim Roghers of Fennimore, Lisa (Tory) Henkel of Fennimore and their children Marcus and Taylor, and Ryan (Venessa) Roghers of Poynette and their children Ty and Reagan; four siblings, Rolland (Jean Coulette) Roghers of Onalaska, Lorraine King of Sun Prairie, Marcella (Maynard) Staskal of Fennimore, and Charles (Jean) Roghers of Boscobel and brother-in-law Jim Wagner of Boscobel.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Wagner, brother-in-law Bob King, sister-in-law Shirley Roghers and nephew Mitchell Staskal.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday April 27, 2018, at Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday morning.
