David Everson, age 68, of Fennimore, died on Thursday morning, April 19, 2018, at his residence in Fennimore. David was born on May 6, 1949 in Dodgeville, WI the son of Wilbur and Alice (Olson) Everson. He married Ruth Martin on Sept. 8, 1979 at the Lancaster United Methodist Church.
After graduating from Lancaster High School in 1967, Dave went on to receive a degree in business from UW-Platteville. He worked at several area businesses over the years including Bloomington Produce, Fennimore Roller Mills, and Rural Insurance until most recently working for Town and Country Insurance Services and Kwik Trip. Dave had a love for sports, especially basketball, and always enjoyed a good conversation. His love and commitment to family will forever be cherished.
Dave is survived by his wife Ruth, four children and nine grandchildren, all of Fennimore; Stephanie (Mike) Knapp and their children Maya, Carter and Braxton; Stacy (Chad) Fry and their children Wesley, Brayden and Eden; Kevin (Sami) Everson and their children Kyrie, Kameron and Keegan; and Lindsey Everson and fiancé Jake Lund. Dave is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Allan (Mary) Martin of Bloomington.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening, April 25, 2018 at the Methodist church and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday morning. Private burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials would be appreciated. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family
