Aydin Glen James Mischel, age 17, of Fennimore, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 26, 2018. Aydin was born on Sept. 30, 2000, in San Diego, CA the son of Steven Mischel and Aimee Maples.
Aydin was a playful and creative young man in his junior year at Fennimore High School. He had an interest in computer science, literature, and video game design with hopes of attending UW Stout after graduating from high school. Aydin loved spending time in the outdoors, skateboarding, and listening to music, especially the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Primus. Aydin will be remembered for his deep intellect, quick wit, and love for Arizona Green Tea and Gold Fish Crackers.
Aydin is survived by his parents Steven Mischel of Dodgeville and Aimee Maples of Platteville; siblings, Sarina Grace Jean Mischel (Kai Ravenel), Weslee Michael David Mischel and Gracie Marie Dawn Mischel, brother Drake “The Rock” Paulson, maternal grandmother Terri Branson of Fennimore and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Aydin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Marjorie and Rinehart Mischel, maternal grandfather Gary Maples and his uncles, Bernie Mischel and David Maples.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday afternoon May 2, 2018 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church with a celebration to honor Aydin’s life to directly follow at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening. The night will conclude with a bonfire behind the church in Aydin’s memory. In lieu of plants and flowers, a memorial fund is being established at Clare Bank in Fennimore located at 1290 4th St. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family and online condolences may be made at larsonfuneralhomes.com.
