Ronald “Ronnie” Clinton Snider, age 73, of Beetown, WI passed away at his residence on Tuesday April 17, 2018. He was born on Sept. 10, 1944 in Lancaster the son of Clinton and Betty (Bennett) Snider. Ronnie was united in marriage to Linda (Bown Laufenberg) of Cassville on Oct. 6, 1973 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington.
Ronnie farmed his entire life in the Lancaster area. He loved the simple life of working on the farm and being close to his family. Ronnie loved to tractor pull, pulling on both the local and national levels. He was eventually inducted into the Grant County Tractor Pull Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed tractor rides with “Oliver” tractors, which led him to organize the first tractor ride in Grant County. He was well known for restoring “Oliver” tractors and implements and would always find time to talk “Oliver”. He loved spending time with his grandkids, deer hunting, taking car rides to look at machinery and sharing jokes. Ronnie was an active member of the Grant Antique Collectors Club and a past board member of Beetown Township.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Linda; two sons, Cory (Rhonda Baliff) Snider of Cassville, Kurt Snider of Lancaster; four special grandchildren, Corrina, Tyler, Jenna and Luke; two brothers, Larry (Ginny) Snider, Calvin (Lisa Ellis) Snider, sister-in-law Kathy Dubel all of Lancaster, along with several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was preceded death by his parents Clinton and Betty (Bennett) Snider and his grandparents, Henry and Elsie Snider and Grant and Margaret Bennett and brother-in-law Leander Dubel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday April 23, 2018 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington with burial to follow in the Bloomington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday April 22, 2018 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Monday morning. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Tracy Schildgen and the Grant Co. Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion given to Ronnie and our family. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
