Boscobel – Linda A. Loomis, age 65, died on Saturday morning January 30, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Linda was born on June 28, 1950 in Lancaster, WI the daughter of Roger and Lois (Stuckey) Wehrle. She married Robert Loomis on Dec. 27, 1969 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boscobel, WI.
Linda graduated from Fennimore High School in 1969 and shortly after she and Robert moved to Georgia for two years while Robert was in the service. In 1971 Linda and Robert moved back to Boscobel and Linda began working at Advance Transformer. Linda worked at advanced for over 20 years and later Nu Pak for 10 years before retiring at 60 years of age. During her free time, Linda enjoyed decorating her home, sewing, working in her yard, and visiting friends and family. Linda was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her love of family will forever be cherished.
Linda is survived by her husband Robert of Boscobel, two sons and six grandchildren; Scott Loomis of Fennimore with children Hannah and Saryn Loomis and Kirt (Glenda) Loomis of Woodman with children Hillary, Bobbi Jo, Hayden and Braeden Loomis, brothers; Robert (Carol) Wehrle of Crivitz, Kenneth Wehrle of Boscobel, James (Lettie) Wehrle of Mineral Point, and Royce (Shirley) Wehrle of Dodgeville and sisters; Joan (Everett) Edgington of Fennimore and June (Jimmy) Jordan of Boscobel.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Roger and Lois Wehrle and granddaughter Keely Shaye Loomis
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday Feb. 5, 2016 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Rev. Rich McLeer with the Hope Lutheran Church in Mineral Point will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday evening Feb. 4, 2016 at the Larson Family Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday morning.
