BLUE RIVER – Maxine Elaine Hassman, age 89, of Blue River went to meet her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 15, 2024. She was born on October 15, 1934, to Archie and Lillian (Studnicka) Novak of Highland, WI. She received Jesus Christ as her personal savior on November 20, 1945, while walking to Oak Dale Country School. MONTFORT – Michael “Slick” J. Laufenberg, age 76, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his home in rural Montfort. He was born June 30, 1947; the son of John and Gwen (Beran) Laufenberg. Mike graduated from Muscoda High School in 1966. In 1973, he graduated Southwest Tech’s auto mechanics program. On September 22, 1973, Mike married Helen Curtis, and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  Mike worked at Marathon Cheese and later spent many years at Badgerland Agri-Systems before retiring in 2009. Fennimore, WI-Audrey Ann Doan, age 89, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning April 11, 2024, at her residence. She was born on September 9, 1934, in Dodgeville the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Moen) Trankle. Audrey was united in marriage to Glenn Doan on September 26, 1954, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church. As a young girl, Audrey grew up outside of Montfort on a farm until her parents relocated to Fennimore. She graduated from Fennimore High School and then attended Madison Business College. Sheboygan Falls, WI formerly of Fennimore, WI-Ruby Rosella Jahnke, age 85, went to be with her Lord on Sunday morning April 7, 2024, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She was born on August 4, 1938, in Wyalusing Township Grant County, WI; the daughter of Louis and Lela (Ariss) Braudt. Ruby graduated from Patch Grove High School. Ruby was united in marriage to Clifford Jahnke on August 12, 1956, at the Mount Hope United Methodist Church in Mount Hope, WI.  Clifford and Ruby raised beef cattle outside of Lancaster for 25 years. FENNIMORE/ONALASKA – Judith J. Winkers, age 82, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Judy was born on June 3, 1941, the daughter of Rudy and Hazel (Howell) Vogel. She married Jim Winkers on April 28, 1962. Judy graduated from Fennimore High School with the class of 1959. She worked as a hairdresser and when she and Jim became parents, she happily stayed home to raise her daughters. As they grew older, she went to work as a cook for Fennimore schools. She was never afraid of hard work and lived her life with a servant’s heart. She cleaned and painted
