Marcella Mary Mulrooney, age 91, of Mount Hope, passed away on September 15, 2022, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster, WI. She was born on February 26, 1931, in Tennyson, WI, daughter of Maynard and Loretta Schmitz. She was determined to graduate from high school and was salutatorian of her class. She attended Teacher’s College in Platteville, WI, and taught at Military Ridge for a couple of years before starting her family. Lenora “Nora”, “Lennie” Jo Roper, age 19, of Belleville, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family and close friends after a brief battle with ovarian cancer. Virgil Floyd White, 88, of Fennimore, WI was called home on September 14th of 2022. He was born on February 24th of 1934 to Fred and Alice (Cooley) White. He grew up on a farm in Little Grant Township. Virgil married his loving wife, Beverly M. Munns, on December 14th, 1957. Together, they had 3 boys, Randy White (Diane Clark) of Fennimore, Bernie White of Lancaster, and Fred (Amy) White of Bagley. Eugene David “Gene” Kirschbaum

Eugene David “Gene” Kirschbaum, age 72, of Glen Haven, WI, passed away Friday morning, September 9, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on November 10, 1949, in Lancaster, the son of Norbert and Erma (Hill) Kirschbaum. Gene graduated from Cassville High School where he was a proud recipient of the National FFA Star Farmer award.  His passions in life were farming, ranching, and being in the great outdoors.  When he began dairy farming, he also established the Bar Diamond K Tack Shop.  He was the ranch foreman at the Kickapoo Canyon Ranch in Wauzeka.

Rita Ann Whitish, age 57, of Lancaster, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday September 5, 2022, at her residence in Lancaster. She was born on November 16, 1964, in Lancaster the daughter of Robert “Joe” and Janis (Laugeson) Turner. Rita was united in marriage to Ronald Whitish on February 4, 1987, in Lancaster.
