Margaret I. Knapp, age 92, of Mount Hope, WI passed away on Friday January 15, 2021 at her residence one day before her 93rd birthday. She was born on January 16, 1928 in Rockville, WI the daughter of Alfred and Irene (Shaw) Klein. Margaret was united in marriage to Cecil Knapp on December 14, 1946 in Lancaster. In her younger years, Margaret was employed at the Mount Hope Cheese Factory along with helping out on the farm with the daily chores. Vilas J. Noyes, age 94, of Montfort, died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at his residence in Montfort.  Vilas was born on June 10, 1926, in Adams County, WI the son of Roy and Alma (Runkel) Noyes.  He married Ruth A. Washburn on June 12, 1948 at the Montfort United Methodist Church.  Vilas is survived by his daughter Barbara (John) Brown and their daughter Katie of Houston, TX, son Ken (Kathy) Noyes of Cobb with children Karl Noyes of Fennimore, his daughter Makala and grandson Jonah, Kris Noyes of Rewey, Kurt (Jessie) Noyes and daughter Madelyn  of Altoona, WI, Kari (Joe)

Leon “Grant” Loy, age 89, of Stitzer, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning January 6, 2021 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. He was born on August 15, 1931 in Platteville the son of Leon “Ole” and Pauline (Grant) Loy. He was united in marriage to Beverly Fitzsimons on June 16, 1952 at the Livingston United Methodist Church. Grant attended Annaton Country School and then graduated from Livingston High School. He furthered his education at U.W. Platteville double majoring in Biochemistry and Agricultural Education while playing football there. Deane Goodsell Thomas, age 89, of Cobb, WI was welcomed into the graces of his eternal home on Friday January 1, 2021.  Deane was born October 13, 1931 in Dodgeville WI to Aldro and Melva (Fritsch) Thomas of rural Cobb. He graduated from Cobb High School in 1949 and was on the basketball and baseball teams. He was active in 4-H and Rural Youth and won the state 4-H tractor-driving contest.  He attended the University of Wisconsin Farm and Industry Short Course. Crystal Lynn Swindall, age 63, of Cedar Park, TX formerly of Fennimore passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at the Harmony Point Assisted Living in Cedar Park, TX. She was born on October 25, 1957 in Lancaster, Wisconsin the daughter of William and Shirley (Pasold) Block. Crystal was united in marriage to Doug Swindall on June 26, 1982 in Madison, Wisconsin. Crystal graduated from Fennimore High School and then received her Bachelor of Science degree from U.W. Platteville in Graphic Arts. She was employed at Royal Insurance in Madison until moving to Arlington Heights, IL, and working for AllState
