Linda Mae Ames, age 63, of Mount Hope, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 13, 2019, at the Crossing Rivers Health on Prairie du Chien. She was born on Sept. 2, 1955, in Boscobel the daughter of Wilbur and Alice (Whitish) Colson. Linda attended and graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1973. Mary Agnes (nee Forman) Novotny died on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the age of 103. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Novotny. Cherished mother of LeRoy (Holly) Novotny; proud grandma of Heather (Mark) Walters; adoring great-grandma of Ava Walters. Also loved by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear relatives and friends. Celine A. Schaefer, age 92, died on Monday morning March 4, 2019 at the Orchard Manor in Lancaster, WI. She was born on Nov. 20, 1926 in Dickeyville, WI the daughter of Nicholas and Loretta (Schardt) Timmerman. Celine was united in marriage to Homer Schaefer on Oct. 7, 1947 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, WI. Celine and Homer began farming in the Platteville, Belmont and south of Dickeyville areas until purchasing a farm in Hickory Grove Township rural Fennimore in 1966. John Philip Brown, age 77, of Fennimore passed away on Thursday evening February 28, 2019 at the Divine Rehabilitation in Fennimore. He was born on November 17, 1941 in Three Oaks, MI, the son of John Milton and Eunice Mae (Phillips) Brown. John was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Roth on August 19, 1961 in Spring Arbor, MI.
