Donald L. Gabel, (Wisconsin Don), age 60, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday May 3, 2018, and is dancing with the angels tonight. He was born on June 6, 1957 in Prairie du Chien, the son of Leroy and Joyce (Rice) Gabel. Don grew up in the Fennimore area graduating from Fennimore High School in 1975. Montfort – John A. Kreul, age 89, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 1, 2018, at Bloomfield Manor in rural Dodgeville. John was born on Dec. 6, 1928 at home in Highland Township, the son of Anton and Mary (Kroll) Kreul. On November 22, 1952, John married the love of his life, Fern Frederickson at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Highland. John earned a degree in teaching from the Platteville Normal School and taught at one room schools in the Highland area in addition to working nights at the Torque Gas Station.
