Eleanor E. Bauman, age 94, of Onalaska, WI died on Saturday May 26, 2018 at the Onalaska Care Center. She was born Jan. 13, 1924, in rural Fennimore to August and Hilda (Ruchti) Kreul. Eleanor graduated from Fennimore High School in 1942. She married Merle Bauman on Feb. 2, 1945 Eleanor went to work after graduation at the Savanna Army Depot in Savanna, IL. Joan V. Goldsmith, age 80, of Cobb, WI, passed away on Thursday May 24, 2018 at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center in Dodgeville. She was born on June 5, 1937 in St. Cloud, MN the daughter of Vernon and Virgil (Jenson) Anderson. Growing up Joan was involved in 4-H with her mother being a 4-H leader. Her high school years were spent riding and caring for her two horses. Roger E. Hugill, age 79, passed away on Monday morning May 14, 2018 at his residence in Cobb. He was born on Sept. 8, 1938 in Dodgeville, the son of Percy and Ione (Edwards) Hugill. He was united in marriage to Lois Vickerman on Nov. 10, 1956 in Montfort. Roger graduated from Cobb High School and then went to work for Fisher Body of Janesville for a few years. R. Joseph “Joe” Pluemer, age 83, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, formerly of Montfort, WI, passed away Thursday April 26, 2018, at his home in Fort Walton Beach, FL with his family by his side. Joe was born June 30, 1934 in Harrison Township, Platteville, WI the son of Andrew and Lorraine (Fuerstenberg) Pluemer. Joe joined the United States Army where he served his country in the Korean War in 1952. After returning home, he was united in marriage to Patsy R. Matthews on Aug. 19, 1961. Montfort – Danny Ray “Harry” Johns, age 63, died unexpectedly on Sunday morning, May 6, 2018, at his residence in rural Montfort. Danny was born on July 14, 1954, in Dodgeville, WI, the son of Harry and Melva (DiVall) Johns. He married Sandy Bryant on March 28, 1981 in Reno, Nevada. After graduating from Iowa-Grant High School in 1972, Dan attended UW-Platteville for two years before pursuing his true passion of farming.
