Mount Hope – Robert F. Moon, age 95, died on Wednesday morning Jan. 20, 2016 at his residence in Mt. Ida Township. Robert was born on August 21, 1920 in Stitzer, WI the son of George and Mina (Michel) Moon. He married Mary Thompson on March 24, 1945 in Platteville, WI. Oscar was born on April 11, 1947 in Hickory Grove Township, Grant Co., WI the son of Otinius and Sadie Mae (Armfield) Peterson. Nancy Jane (Meininger) Horn, age 55, of Fennimore, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 peacefully at home after a two year battle with brain cancer. Nancy was born on July 8, 1960 to James and Elizabeth (Treder) Meininger in Toledo, OH and moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin when she was five years old. She attended Goodrich High School where she met her best friend and husband, Charles (Chuck) Horn. Woodman – Herman Wachter, age 91, of Woodman, died on Monday evening January 11, 2016 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society. Herman was born on June 2, 1924 in Midland, South Dakota to Herman and Mertie (Kaiser) Wachter. He married Bernadine Freymiller on Oct. 20, 1946 in Prairie du Chien, WI. Herman grew up in Midland South Dakota before moving to the Millville area at the age of 14. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1944-1946. Upon returning home from the Air Corps, Herman and Bernadine began farming in Marion Township. Herman could do anything around the farm
