Germain L. Bukoski, age 95 of Monroe and formerly of Fennimore, died on Thursday afternoon Feb. 20, 2014 at the residence she shared with her daughter in Monroe.  Germain was born Sept. 3, 1918 in Bloomington Twsp., Grant Co., WI the daughter of Ben and Elizabeth (Wagner) Schneider.  She married Francis “Buck” Bukoski on May 7, 1940 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore. Fennimore, WI-Nona M. Coppernoll, age 96, died on Thursday Feb. 20, 2014 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore, WI. She was born on June 6, 1917 in Akan Township in Richland Co., WI the daughter of Ray & Ella Mae (Hinkle) Watson. Nona was united in marriage to Reverend Darold B. Coppernoll on Oct. 2, 1943. Nona graduated from Richland Center High School and then attended Richland Co. Normal School until taking classes and receiving her teaching degree from the Platteville State Teachers College. Nona taught and substitute taught for 50 years in southwest Wisconsin and northern Illinois

Irene K. Sweeney, age 75 of Fennimore, died on Friday evening, Feb. 14, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. Irene was born on Dec. 29, 1938 in Dodgeville, WI the daughter of Eugene and Lenice (Stippich) Lomas.  She married Nikkie Sweeney on May 27, 1958 in Fennimore, WI. Following graduation from Fennimore High School, Irene stayed home to raise her family.  She was a very devoted mother and grandmother who supported her children and grandchildren in all of their activities.  Irene enjoyed her cat Cocco, feeding the songbirds outside her apartment, and baking special treats, such as cupcakes

FENNIMORE – Jerry Fred (Jessie) Doan, age 79, passed away on Thursday February 13, 2014 at Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel. Jerry was born on January 30, 1935. The son of Frederick John Doan and Pearl Mae (Johnson) Doan, He the youngest of nine children.
