Muscoda/Castle Rock, WI – Connie Shemak, age 56 of Castle Rock Twsp., Grant Co., WI died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning Nov. 26, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Connie was born on Sept. 30, 1957 in Dodgeville, WI the daughter of John and Fern (Fredrickson) Kreul.  She married Pat Shemak on Sept. 29, 1979 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Highland, WI. Fennimore, WI – Bernice W. Stenner, age 92 of Fennimore died on Thursday morning Nov. 21, 2013 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore.  Bernice was born on April 4, 1921 on the family homestead in Marion Township, Grant Co., WI, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Bender) Stenner. Bernice received her early education at the Brechler Country School and later graduated from Fennimore High School in 1939.  Following graduation, Bernice worked as a housekeeper for families in the Fennimore area until moving to Madison in 1951 where she worked at the State Welfare Office for 10 years.  After

Dodgeville, WI – Clayton Edward Kleist, age 91, of Dodgeville and formerly of Highland died on Sunday afternoon Nov. 17, 2013 at Crestridge Assisted Living in Dodgeville.  Clayton was born on Feb. 14, 1922 on the family farm in Highland, WI the son of Edward and Mirty (Richter) Kleist.  He married Gayle Butteris on June 14, 1947 at Bethlehem Church in Edmund, WI. Clayton attended school through the eighth grade until leaving to tend to the farm after his father was injured in a farm accident.  Despite the absence of formal education, Clayton was an avid self-taught learner. Fennimore, WI- Donna Jean Riemenapp, age 80 died on Thursday evening Nov. 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Fennimore/Preston after a 6 month battle with cancer.  Donna was born on July 22, 1933 the daughter of Vince and Juanita (Oates) Schuler.  She married Bernard “Ben” Riemenapp on May 25, 1950. In 1975, Donna went to work at Rayovac in Fennimore until retiring in 1998. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother that adored her family and was there for them whenever she was needed. David W. O’Flahrity, age 70, of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Fennimore, died unexpectedly on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at Gunderson-Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. David was born on December 25, 1942 in Fennimore, WI the son of William and Mary Janet (Smith) O’Flahrity. He was previously married to Jane Clay of Pflugerville, Texas.
