Pauline Hill, age 100, of Madison and formerly of Livingston, died on Tuesday morning April 4, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Pauline was born on Dec. 12, 1916, in Terrebonne, MN the daughter of Louis and Elodia (Bergeron) Gagner. Pauline was united in marriage to James Hill on Nov. 10, 1938, in Terrebonne, MN.
Pauline was a dedicated wife and mother who adored her family. As her family grew, she loved spending time with her grandchildren; they were the apples of her eye. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening and going for walks. After retiring from farming, she and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Her strong and determined will along with her unconditional love will be cherished forever.
Pauline is survived by her daughter Joyce (Ken) Morgan of Verona, three grandchildren; Paula (Scott) Carline of St. Charles MO, Jim (Binnu) Hill of Madison, Jeff (Amanda) Hill of San Diego, CA, and six great grandchildren; Tommy, Bailey and Katie Carline, Sanjay and Nilay Hill, and Carter Hill, brother Dona Gagner and sister Laura Jolly both of Red Lake Falls, MN, and sister Beatrice Lanford of Simi Valley, CA.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Hill in 1993, daughter Susan Green in 2007, son John “Jack” Hill in 2016 and her brother Elmer Gagner
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday afternoon April 7, 2017, at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial to follow in Rock Church Cemetery, rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home on Friday. In lieu of plants and flowers memorials may be giving to Agrace HospiceCare of Fitchburg in loving memory of Pauline Hill.
