Montfort, WI-Patricia J. Schult, age 76 died unexpectedly on Monday afternoon April 8, 2013 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. Pat was born on Sept. 14, 1936 in Liberty Township Grant Co., WI the daughter of Elden & Ora (Anding) Hill. She was united in marriage to Donald Schult on Oct. 31, 1953 in Dubuque, IA.
Pat graduated from Montfort High School and then worked for Levin’s Grocery Store in Montfort and the Dutchman’s Inn in Livingston. She then received her Certified Nursing Assistant degree and worked for the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society and the Bloomfield Manor Nursing Home. In her younger years, Pat loved sports. She was an avid softball player in Montfort and coached several little league teams. She also enjoyed dancing, downhill skiing and riding horses. Most of all, she adored her husband and children. Pat loved doing the books for Don’s work along with raising her children and supporting all of their school activities and sporting events. She and Don also enjoyed many years traveling throughout the United States together. Pat’s memories will be deeply cherished by all of her family and special friends.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Donald of Montfort, five children; Daniel (Margaret) Schult of Montfort, Cindy Ragen of Philadelphia, PA, Randy (Karen) Schult of Barneveld, Alan (Wendy Canard) Schult of Cleburne, TX, Kevin (Tonja) Schult of Peachtree, GA, ten grandchildren; Tracy (Jim Dufty) Schult, Jason (Emily Heath) Schult, Matt & Lindsey Ragen, Samantha, Duncan, Wyatt, Shyann, Madeline, and Payton Schult, two step-grandchildren; Joshua & Ethan Ange, and a great granddaughter, Penelope Schult, brother Larry Hill of Tomah, and a brother-in-law Dick Turner of Montfort. Pat is also survived by her four sister-laws; Lorene Millard of Rice Lake, Dorothy (William) Bollant of Montfort, Donna Lang of Eau Claire, Shirley (Ralph) Reddy of Brown Deer and a special Aunt & Uncle Virginia (Raymond) Kenney of Philadelphia, PA.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Elden & Ora Hill, daughter, Sheri on May 9, 1969, sister, Madonna Turner, sister and brother-in-law, Beverly Gornas and Dewayne Schult, mother & father-in-law, Walter & Violet Schult, and an uncle & aunt Buster & Alta Bowers.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Montfort United Methodist Church in Montfort with burial of the cremated remains to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Food and fellowship will immediately follow the burial in the church hall. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Saturday morning. In lieu of plants and flowers a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Patricia J. Schult. The Soman-Larson Funeral Home of Montfort is assisting the family.
