Janett E. Draggs, age 73 of Fennimore, passed away on Monday evening July 9, 2018 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society after a courageous six year battle with lung cancer. Janett was born on August 17, 1944 in Fennimore the daughter of Lyle and Mildred (Clark) Cohen. Jan was married on Sept. 21, 1962 to John H. Draggs and together they had two sons; Christopher and Mikel. Jan enjoyed cooking and sewing projects and spending time with family and friends. Arlene L. Gundlach, age 95 of Livingston, died on Monday evening, July 2, 2018, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. Arlene was born June 11, 1923, in Wessington, South Dakota the daughter of Elmore and Jemima (Irving) Braudt. She married Theodore Gundlach on Aug. 6, 1942, at Rock Church in Livingston. Arlene graduated from Fennimore High School in 1940 and then worked at several jobs before becoming an employee at Livingston State Bank. She retired in 1991 after over 35 years of service. Richard W. “Dick” Turner, age 88 of Montfort, WI, died on Friday morning June 29, 2018, at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. Richard was born on Jan. 15, 1930 in Montfort the son of Leslie and Emily (Webster) Turner. He married Madonna Hill on July 31, 1955. After graduating from Montfort High School in 1948, Richard attended UW-Platteville where he received a degree in education. Fennimore, WI – Mary Elizabeth Schwer, age 88 of Fennimore, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 feeling she lived a blessed life.  Mary was born on February 18, 1930 in Annaton, Wisconsin the daughter of Virgil and Rebecca (Seaborn) Loy. Mary is a direct descendant of revolutionary war soldier Michael Loy and a relative of Jackson Loy whose service was honored in naming the USS Loy. Douglas Theodore Daechsel, former Fennimore resident, died May 30, 2018 at the age of 97. At the time of his death he was living in Lakeville, Minnesota. Doug was born September 26, 1920, in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan, Canada, the eldest son of Rev. Carl and Elizabeth (Ihrig) Daechsel. He graduated from Luther College in Regina, Saskatchewan, and began working with O.K. Economy Stores in various small towns. Loretta M. Hamilton, age 86, of Waterloo, and formerly of Fennimore, Wisconsin, died on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.  Loretta was born on May 21, 1932, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the daughter of James and Gladys (Zabel) Lechnir.  She was united in marriage to Willis P. Hamilton on August 20, 1953.
