Myrtle Ione Edge

Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Lancaster and Mt. Ida, WI - Myrtle Ione Edge, age 106, passed away on Thursday May 8, 2025, at Hope Hospice Facility. She was born on April 3, 1919, in White Mound, WI the daughter of George and Emma (Scholl) Brown. Myrtle was united in marriage to Adolph Edge on November 24, 1937, in Loganville, WI.

They lived in the village of Mt. Ida where they shared 52 years together. Myrtle dedicated her life to her family and church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading Daniel Steele books, and playing her favorite card game, Euchre. She also loved to play bingo, doing paint by number kits, and jigsaw puzzles. She took many bus trips throughout the United States.

Myrtle is survived by her five children: Walter Edge, Kathryn (Ron) O’Dell, Jeanette Steel, Judy Hinrichs, Robert (Brenda) Edge; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 22 great great grandchildren.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; husband Adolph on December 10, 1989; two sons Richard and Randel Edge; two grandchildren Jessica Edge and Nicole Edge; great grandchild JoAnna Vesperman; daughter-in-law Connie Edge; four sons-in-law Bob Fess, Jack Steel, Darrell Mook, and Dean Hinrichs; along with three brothers and three sisters.

Following burial in Mt. Ida Cemetery,  the family invites everyone for food and fellowship in the church hall.
