June M. McBee, age 85, of Fennimore, WI passed away on Wednesday evening May 26, 2021 at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on June 19, 1935 in Moline, IL the daughter of Odiel and Bertha (Volcke) DeRammelaere. June was united in marriage to James McBee on March 25, 1955 in Moline, IL.
June and James farmed together in Mt. Zion and later in rural Boscobel. June later did seasonal work at area apple orchards until going to work at CJ Foods in Richland Center. June loved to help others and eventually went to work for Homeward Bound and was later employed by the Boscobel Memorial Hospital as a cook until her retirement at age 72. June enjoyed working with ceramics, knitting and cross-stitching. Her biggest passion in life was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandma. She loved children and was always happy to be there for others. June’s generosity and giving to others will be forever cherished.
June is survived by her five children; Monica Fritz of Fennimore, Jim (Mel) McBee of Prairie du Chien, Joe (Emily) McBee of Fennimore, Brad McBee of LaValle, and Brenda (Todd) Quick of Prairie du Chien, 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, brother Dick (LouAnn) DeRammelaere of Moline, IL, and sister Janet Walker of East Moline, IL.
June was preceded in death by her parents, husband James McBee on June 10, 2004, daughter Vicki Waterman, brother Rene DeRammelaere, and sister JoAnn Timmerman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday morning.
