Judy Joanne Lyght, age 66, of Boscobel formerly of Montfort, was called home by her Heavenly Father, Saturday evening, January 5, 2019. She was born to Clifford and Lois (Birch) Lyght on November 28, 1952.
After graduating from Iowa-Grant High School, she lived in Madison before moving to Boscobel after becoming disabled. Judy was able to live independently until entering the Boscobel Care and Rehab facility over three years ago. She enjoyed living at the home looking forward to the daily activities. The most important thing in her life was family. She had nine nieces and nephews whom she adored, and they gave her nine great-nieces and nephews to make her smile even more. Judy’s unique sense of humor along with her acronyms she would use will forever be cherished.
Judy is survived by her mother Lois of Boscobel, three sisters; Lana McVay and Kathy (Jerry) Bray both of Boscobel, and Kitti (Eric) Richter of Neenah, and four brothers; Todd Lyght of Boscobel, Gil (Dixie) Lyght of Waunakee, Jay (Mary) Lyght of Fort Wayne, IN, and Brad (Lisa) Lyght of Hilliard, FL. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews; Kelly, Lisa, Tom, Marc, Jordan, Jared, Scott, Derek and Tyler and their children; Braylin, Mikayla, Leo, Maxwell, Kaia, Kacey, Kole, Kellen, and Celia.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, sisters; Jill and Barbara, and brothers; Alan, Larry, Stephen, and Michael and nephews Danny and Chad.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday Jan. 10, 2019 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home on Thursday morning.
