John “Johnboy” Faber

MOULTON, IA/MONTFORT, WI – John Faber “Johnboy”, age 42, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 17, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones, following a battle with Leukemia.

If John were to write his own obituary, it would read “Here lies a simple man, simply lived, and simply died”, but he deserves more than that!

John was born on October 13, 1982, in Boscobel, WI and attended Fennimore schools. After high school, John started work with G2 Construction where he continued to work for many years. John was an active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Kirksville, MO where he attended services and study groups. He took great pride in his religious beliefs. John thoroughly enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, fishing, and riding his horse, Sadie. John never missed a chance to tease and harass his nieces and the many children in the Amish community. He was  truly a simple man with a quiet sense of humor and will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his parents, Richard Faber and Penny Smith; sisters, Ruby (James) Schauer and Kathy Faber; nieces: Sarah (Justin), Lindsey (Jake), Rachel, and Naomi; great niece, Presley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close Amish friends who were like family to him.
