Jacque Lou Smith

Montfort, formerly of Fennimore -Jacque Lou Smith, age 75, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Sunday evening October 12, 2025.

Jacque was born on October 12, 1950, to Mark “Ike” McCluskey and Cleo (McCluskey) Reithmeyer. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, David Smith on November 16, 1968, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore. They would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this year.

Jacque dedicated much of her career to her father’s family business, Koschkee Transfer, where she had the joy of working alongside her husband. Beyond her career, Jacque’s greatest happiness came from watching her children and grandchildren grow. She cherished every moment spent with her family and the many dear friends who filled her life with laughter, love, and companionship—especially those who remained by her side through her final days.

Jacque is preceded in death by her parents, Mark “Ike” McCluskey and Cleo (McCluskey) Reithmeyer, and by her beloved mother-in-law, Marcella Smith, with whom she shared a very special bond with.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David of Montfort, WI; her children: Joe Smith (and his partner Carla) of Lancaster, WI; Terry (Betty) Smith of Blue Mounds, WI; Tracy (Michael) Glorioso of Oconomowoc, WI; and Cathy Smith of Fennimore, WI; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Richard (Judy) McCluskey of Paris, TN, and her sister, Laurie, the wife of the late James Whitish, of Fennimore, WI.
