Grace E. Novinska, age 99 of Warsaw, MO and formerly of Fennimore died on Thursday Oct. 4, 2012 at her residence in Warsaw, MO. Grace was born on Jan. 17, 1913 in Turkey Creek, IA the daughter of Nicholas & Catherine (Hauck) Adams. Grace was united in marriage to Aloysus “Loyse” Novinska on May 7, 1947 in Lancaster, WI.
Following high school, Grace went to work for Parker Pen in Madison, WI until moving to Lancaster. There she met and married her beloved husband Loyse, following his return home from war. In 1950, they built the Novinska Butchering Service in Fennimore. They operated the butchering business until selling to their son Tom in the mid 1970’s. Tom owned and operated the business until 1983 when it was sold to Rick & Shelly McLimans. Grace loved her family and adored her grandchildren. While living in Warsaw MO with her son Tom these past years, they enjoyed each other’s company and she will be deeply missed.
Grace is survived by her son; Thomas Novinska of Warsaw, MO, three grandchildren; Christopher Novinska of Waco TX, Craig (Ashley) Novinska of Fort Knox, KY, and Cara Novinska of La Crosse, six great grandchildren, and a sister; Margaret Lorenz of Prairie du Chien.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Aloysus on Aug. 5, 1999, four brothers; Raymond, John, Elmer, and Marcus Adams, and a sister, Marcella Haydel
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday Oct. 9, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Father Miguel Galvez will be officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Hall. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
