Daniel Garcia De La Cruz, age 15, of Fennimore, Wisconsin formerly of Lancaster, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening August 4, 2019 at the Midwest Medical Center in Galena, IL. He was born on February 25, 2004 in Darlington, Wisconsin the son of Eliezer Garcia Arcos and Alma Delia De La Cruz Torres.
Daniel attended school in Lancaster until the sixth grade. He and his family moved to Fennimore where he was going to be starting his sophomore year. Daniel was a typical boy who liked video games, playing with Legos and Mind Craft, watching movies, shooting pool, and hanging out with his friends. His dream was to complete high school and attend college to become a computer programmer. He was a very intelligent boy who loved studying history. Daniel especially liked to learn about Egyptian, Aztec and Mayan history. He could spend hours visiting with family and friends about his learned knowledge. Daniel’s family and friends held a very special place in his heart and he will be deeply missed by them all.
Daniel is survived by his beloved mother Alma De La Cruz Torres, sister Rose Garcia De La Cruz, father Eliezer Garcia Arcos, step father Raul Hernandez Campos, along with his loving grandparents and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his special friend Harley Rath and “just like a sister” Katie.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday afternoon August 10, 2019 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday August 9, 2019 at the Larson Family Funeral Home and from 12:00 noon until time of service on Saturday. Memorials would be greatly appreciated at this time.
