Catherine “Katie” I. Frye

MONTFORT/MADISON - Catherine "Katie" Frye ,97, passed away on Thursday April 4, 2024, at Agrace Hospice & Palliative Care in Fitchburg. Katie was born in 1926 to Anna and Fred Adametz of Montfort. After graduating from high school, she moved to Madison to work and met Harold "Chuck" Frye. They married in 1948 and raised two children in Montfort.

Katie worked for 42 years at the bank in Montfort, retiring at age 62. After Chuck passed away in 1990, she met Theodore "Ted" Noyes from College Station, TX. They married in 1997 spending their time in Bagley, WI and College Station, TX until Ted's death in 2012. In 2014 Katie moved to Madison to be closer to her family.

Katie is survived by her son, Terry (Marcia) Frye; daughter, Patricia (Marty) Svendsen; grandsons, Colin Frye and Harrison Svendsen; and many dear relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Delkamp and James Adametz; sister, Emily Skala; and husbands, Harold Frye and Theodore Noyes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Catherine Frye's name to the VFW in Montfort.
