Diane M. Stanton, age 75, of Cobb, WI passed away on Wednesday May 4, 2022, at her residence with her beloved family by her side. She was born on November 27, 1946, in Cuba City the daughter of Clarence and Cecilia (Gille) Hoeper. Diane was united in marriage to Michael Stanton on August 24, 1968, at the St. Peter’s Church in Elk Grove Township in Lafayette County, WI.
Diane graduated from Cuba City High School. She enjoyed being at home raising her family. In the later years, Diane established S & A Cleaning with her daughter for 15 years until her retirement. Diane loved to spend time with her family. She followed her grandchildren around to numerous sporting events, dance recitals, and school programs. She had a passion for coaching Little League Baseball and dancing, especially with her husband and family. She looked forward to her trips to Arizona and liked to work in the kitchen canning along with writing poetry. She was very selfless and always there for others. Diane’s passion for living every day along with her devotion to her family will be forever cherished.
Diane is survived by her husband Michael of Cobb, eight children: Trisha Stanton, Paula Stanton-Aultman, Rick (Carey) Stanton, Erik (Jennifer) Stanton, Nichole (Ryan) Federman, Holly (Eric) Schmitz, Jeremy (Kellie) Stanton, and Josh (Elsa) Stanton, 17 grandchildren: Tristan, Trevor, Andrea, Jessica, Torey, Noah, Cecilia, Emma, Gage, Ethan, Jalen, Payton, Ashton, Griffin, Hayden, Brooklyn, and Carli, five great-grandchildren: Kiersten, Ciara, Aubree, Chloe, and Jaxon, two brothers: Dave (Mary Kay) Hoeper and Dick (Barb) Hoeper and sister-in-law and best friend Sue Hoeper.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Cecilia Hoeper, father and mother-in-law Wally and Gladys Stanton, brother Johnny Hoeper and two infant siblings.
A public visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday May 9, 2022, at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort. A Private Mass of Christian burial will follow on Tuesday at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort with burial to follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Elk Grove Township Lafayette County, WI. Father Jim Murphy will be officiating. In lieu of plants and flowers a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Diane M. Stanton.
