Joyce E. Harris, age 87, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at Lancaster Health Services in Lancaster, WI. Joyce was born February 13, 1934, in Fennimore, WI the daughter of Wayne and Florence (Fry) Feakes. She was united in marriage to Arland “Bud” Harris on May 29, 1952.
Joyce graduated form Fennimore High School and entered the work force and was employed at various places in the community of Boscobel. She worked at Gamble’s, Dick’s Supermarket, a Secretary for the Boscobel School District, Midwest Silo, and owned her own business. Joyce retired from Lands’ End in Dodgeville after several years filling phone orders. Joyce enjoyed knitting, crocheting and putting puzzles together.
Joyce is survived by her four children: Arlie (Kristine) Harris of Boscobel, WI, Dennis (Mary) Harris of Lodi, WI, Lori (Bill) Busch of Fennimore, WI, Angela Harris of Marietta, GA, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, three sisters: Donna Glasbrenner of Fennimore, WI, Lela Mae Murray of Calmar, IA, brother Glen Feakes of CO, two brothers-in-law: Arnie Harris of Fennimore, WI and Harlan Harris of Plymouth, WI.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband “Bud” and two sisters: Alice Noyes and LaVon Peterson.
There will be no formal memorial services held at this time. A private family graveside service will be held at later date in the Felton Cemetery rural Richland Center, WI. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family and cards of sympathy may be sent here at 925 10th St. Fennimore, WI 53809.
