Brenda S. (Weist) Taylor, age 54, of Fennimore, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Divine Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fennimore surrounded by her family. She was born on June 2, 1967, in Boscobel, WI the daughter of Charles and Barbara (Watchorn) Weist. Brenda was united in marriage to Michael Turner on June 15, 1985. She was later married to Thomas Taylor on June 4, 2005.
Brenda graduated from Fennimore High School in 1985. She loved raising her children and taking care of all their needs. She was employed at Farm & Fleet in Platteville and later in Dodgeville working in the shipping and receiving department. Brenda’s huge heart was always on display. She was the most kind and loving person anyone could ever know. Her dedication to her family, especially her children and granddaughter, will be forever cherished. Her fur babies also had a very special place in her heart. Brenda never judged and was very accepting of others and often a second mother to many. Brenda courageously battled cancer for five years and was very touched by the benefit, “Crafting for a Cause”, that was put on by family and friends.
Brenda is survived by her four children: Hollie (Robert) Nihles of Livingston, WI, Bethany Turner of Fennimore, Dylan Turner of Fennimore, Dimitri Taylor of Fennimore, granddaughter Kalayah Nihles, her parents: Charles and Barbara Weist of Fennimore, two sisters: Vicki (Bryan) Pitzen of Lancaster, WI, Karen (David) Mahr of Lancaster, WI, and brother Todd (Dawn) Weist of Nashville, TN, along with many special nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her brother: Chuck Weist Jr., grandparents: Oscar and Marie Weist, Henry and Ruby Watchorn.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church with burial in the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Monday morning. There will be a “Celebration of Life” in loving memory of Brenda, to be held at a later date. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family.
