Wilfred H. “Buzz” Christopherson, age 71, of Fennimore, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning Jan. 31, 2019 at his residence in Fennimore. Wilfred was born on Dec. 9, 1947 in Lancaster the son of Harold and Lorraine (Nauert) Christopherson.
Buzz graduated from Fennimore High School and then went to work at the Preston Cheese Factory as a cheese maker. After the closing of the cheese factory in Preston, he was employed at the Fennimore Cheese factory until his retirement in the early 2000’s. Buzz was a simple man that enjoyed the simple life. Picking up his newspaper each day, a good days work, visiting with good neighbors and friends was a wonderful day! When Wilfred got to know you, he deeply cared for you and your family. He will be remembered as man with a very kind heart, a very sharp mind, who enjoyed his neighbors and friends.
Wilfred is survived by his brother John (Linda) Christopherson of Shalimar, FL, niece Renee (Tom) Bunton of Niceville, FL, nephew John (Shada) Christopherson of Panama City, FL and two great nephews; John Dylan Donaldson and John Christopherson along with a very special neighbor and dear friend Tina (Gary) Frye of Fennimore and their family.
Wilfred was preceded in death by his mother Lorraine on Aug. 6, 2012 and his father Harold on Nov. 8, 2005.
A prayer service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday afternoon Feb. 6, 2019 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Ideal Cemetery in Hickory Grove Township Grant Co., WI. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. In lieu of plants and flowers memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the Salvation Army in loving memory of Wilfred H. Christopherson.
