Harold Coulthard

Harold Coulthard, age 71, of Livingston, Wisconsin left this world to go to a better place on Friday October 12, 2018. After seven years, he gave into the dementia he was dealt.

Harold was one of the kindest, caring, loving, and giving human being that you would ever meet. He was deeply loved by his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and their children.

Harold was a farmer all his life. He and his brother Richard farmed with their father, Emmet. When Richard was killed in a farm accident, brother Dale came back to the farm to be with Harold. The two of them had one of the best farm set-ups in the area.

For many years, when you saw Harold, you saw Dale and when you saw Dale, you knew Harold was also there. The two of them were the Dynamic Duo, lovingly named by their nieces and nephews.

Harold was close to his family. He would be at all the family gatherings. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and eventually their families.

In earlier years, Harold was great at remembering important dates. He never forgot to call a family member when someone was having a birthday or just to talk. We always joked that Harold never went too far, but knew what was going on around the area and in the news. Harold was a great visitor.  He enjoyed visiting with neighbors if they stopped by the farm. Harold’s wants were few. However, once in a while he would buy a car. His last one was a Corvette.

Harold semi-retired when Dale and he sold the cattle, but he continued to crop farm the land. He moved into Livingston and seemed to enjoy the town life. However, every day he was at the farm for a while. He enjoyed sports. He was an avid Badger and Packer fan.

Harold will be lovingly missed by his sisters, Marian (Ron) Runde, Kathleen Blum, Marge (Larry) Curran, and his brothers, Larry (Vicki) Coulthard, and Dale Coulthard. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and their children. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Emmet Coulthard, his sisters, Nancy (Dale) Boge, Norma Coulthard, infant sister Mary Coulthard, and his brother Richard Coulthard.

A brief funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday morning Oct. 20, 2018 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery rural Livingston, WI. Visitation will be held from 4:30-7:00 P.M. on Friday afternoon Oct. 19, 2018 at the funeral home in Montfort and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday morning.
