Douglas C. Neuroth, age 68 of Fennimore, WI died peacefully on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster, WI, after a long illness. Doug was born on December 9, 1949 to Charles and Norma (Alexander) Neuroth in Lancaster and was raised on the family farm.
Doug graduated from Fennimore High School in 1968 and married Lorre Stich on August 10, 1968, in Fennimore. Doug farmed land in Grant County and worked at Fennimore Silo Company. Doug loved a game of cards, a country road car ride, Gunsmoke and The Andy Griffith Show, and Wisconsin sports, but mostly he enjoyed following his sons and grandchildren in their many sports and activities.
Doug is survived by his partner of over 20 years, Pam Bausch of Fennimore; three sons, Craig (Heidi) Neuroth of Verona, Corey (Shari) Neuroth of Fennimore, and Curt (Jena) Neuroth of Stitzer; five grandchildren, Trevor and Breelyn Neuroth, Logan and Will Neuroth, and Jacob Neuroth; two sisters, Ann (Dave) Schneider of Brookfield, WI and Laura (Jim) Kloosterboer of Fennimore, sister-in-law Laurie Neuroth of Fennimore and many special nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his father Charles, mother Norma, brother Dan and niece Heather Neuroth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday June 15, 2018, at the Fennimore United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday evening June 14, 2018, at Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Friday morning.
